Quiet Quitting reason and behavior scale design and development process.

Background: The concept of "Quiet Quitting", which might be considered new in the literature, is used to describe a passive and silent giving up.

Objective: The aim of this study is to develop a scale to evaluate both the causes and consequences of "quiet quitting" which is believed to be increasing for various reasons in our country as well as in the world.

Method: Five-stage scale development method which was presented by Cohen and Swerdik was used in the process of developing the Quiet Quitting Reason and Behavior Scale (QQRBS).

Neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL) and inflammatory markers in schizophrenia: A comparative analysis of drug-naive schizophrenia patients, remitted patients, and healthy controls.

This study aims to examine the plasma concentrations of NGAL and other inflammatory parameters, including TNF-α, IL-1β, and IFN-γ, in schizophrenia patients and healthy volunteers. It also investigates potential associations between these biomarkers and symptom severity in schizophrenia and the utility of NGAL as a potential diagnostic and monitoring biomarker for schizophrenia. The study included 49 drug-naive schizophrenia patients (DNS), 59 patients with schizophrenia in remission (REM) on antipsychotic treatment, and 58 healthy volunteers (HC).

Effect of Osmotic Dehydration Pretreatment on the Drying Characteristics and Quality Properties of Semi-Dried (Intermediate) Kumquat () Slices by Vacuum Dryer.

The effect of osmotic dehydration (OD) pretreatments at different temperatures and immersion times on drying characteristics, total phenolic content (TPC), total antioxidant activity (TAA) (DPPH and CUPRAC methods), and color of kumquat slices dried under vacuum conditions (70 °C-100 mbar) was investigated. The OD pretreatment was performed in a sucrose solution (45 °Bx) at the temperatures of 40 and 50 °C and immersed at times of 30, 60, and 90 min. OD before vacuum drying decreased the total required drying time by up to 70 min compared to the control non-pretreated samples.

Effect of training about child neglect and abuse to teachers and its effect to awareness.

Background: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of child neglect and abuse training on the knowledge and awareness of medical vocational schoolteachers in Turkey.

Methods: This study was conducted based on data taken from a sample of teachers from Kayseri, Turkey, between October 2016 and April 2017. Teachers who agreed to participate in the study received training pertaining to child neglect and abuse.

The Effect of Exercise on Oxygen Content in Anemic Patients With Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

Background: Anemia is reported in one-third of the patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Anemia, by decreasing oxygen content, can be a contributing factor for hypoxemia. We determined to find whether anemia causes more prominent hypoxia by decreasing the total oxygen content after exercise in anemic patients with COPD.
