Aim: To demonstrate how students, alums and faculty view the effectiveness of the integration of university mission statements into curriculum and their significance for preparing for professional practice.

Background: This study builds on previous research exploring the influence of mission, vision and values statements in informing DNP program curricula and contributing to the development of students' professional identity by analyzing how the themes found were integrated into curricula and their perceived relevancy for practice.

Design: A mixed-methods approach was used called Group Concept Mapping, which built on the previous qualitative data found using quantitative analysis.

The impact of glial neurotransmitter receptors in vivo is still elusive. In the cerebellum, Bergmann glial (BG) cells express α-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionic acid (AMPA)-type glutamate receptors (AMPARs) composed exclusively of GluA1 and/or GluA4 subunits. With the use of conditional gene inactivation, we found that the majority of cerebellar GluA1/A4-type AMPARs are expressed in BG cells.

Long-term depression at parallel fiber-Purkinje cell synapses (PF-PC LTD) has been proposed to be required for cerebellar motor learning. To date, tests of this hypothesis have sought to interfere with receptors (mGluR1) and enzymes (PKC, PKG, or αCamKII) necessary for induction of PF-PC LTD and thereby determine if cerebellar motor learning is impaired. Here, we tested three mutant mice that target the expression of PF-PC LTD by blocking internalization of AMPA receptors.
