Among the numerous residential appliances, window or split air conditioners are the most prevalent. The hydrochlorofluorocarbon and hydrofluorocarbon refrigerants used in those systems are causing a serious threat to the environment. In this study, R290-hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) mixtures are proposed as replacements for high-GWP substances (R410A and R22) in window air conditioning (WAC) units.

Background: To evaluate the efficacy of a novel topical dressing (composed of triamcinolone, ground Dianthus caryophyllus, eugenol, honey, and Iris germanica) for alveolar osteitis (dry socket) against Alvogyl® (composed of eugenol, butamben, and iodoform).
Material And Methods: In a randomized parallel-armed clinical trial at Mashhad Dental School's Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, 36 patients with alveolar osteitis were randomly allocated into two groups according to the inclusion criteria (n=18), using sealed envelopes: one receiving a novel topical dressing and the other receiving Alvogyl®. Post-treatment pain was assessed using a visual analog scale immediately after the procedure and at 30 and 60 minutes, 24, 48, 72, and 96 hours, and one week later, as well as the frequency of dressing applications and analgesic usage.

The presence of maxillary sinusitis can complicate dental procedures. This study aimed to explore the relationship between maxillary sinus radiomorphometric factors, observed in cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images, and inflammatory sinus diseases. In this cross-sectional study, CBCT images from patients referred to a private radiology center between January 2018-January 2020 were analyzed.

Methods: This quasi-experimental study involved a total of 20 OMFS residents attending and was conducted from September 2023 to December 2023. A 3D submental flap surgical phantom was designed using Mimics V.
Background: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the complexity of malocclusion and existing patterns in children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) using the index of complexity, outcome and need (ICON).
Methods: This cross-sectional study included children diagnosed with ASD, aged 9-15 years. A group of healthy children with the same demographic characteristics was randomly selected as the control group.
