55 breast carcinomas and 9 its benign conditions were studied immunohistochemically. Oncoprotein c-erbB-2 was found in 22% carcinomas and in 33-37% comedo-carcinomas. Coincidence of predominant expression of oncoprotein c-erbB-2 and tenascin was observed.

The precise place of local estrogen production in mammary cancer is still controversial. In this investigation localization of aromatase (the key enzyme of estrogen biosynthesis) was studied in breast cancer tissue by immunohistochemical method using polyclonal rabbit antibodies. The cytoplasmic staining was found in different cell types, but the most intensive specific staining was found in malignant cells and it was stronger (P < 0.

Twenty-thirty animals were examined every 4 weeks up to 45-50 weeks.

The histologic and cytologic structure of those tumors proved similar to those of malignant hemangioendothelioma in man. The ability of tumor cells to form vascular structures and degree of their neoplastic atypia were used to identify three types of neoplasia: "cavernous hemangioma" with cytologic signs of malignity and well- and poorly--differentiated malignant hemangioendotheliomas.
