Background And Objectives: Relational caring has the capacity to reduce stigma associated with dementia by shifting the focus from dysfunction and behavior management, to attending to the interdependencies and reciprocities that underpin caring relationships, and making explicit the centrality of relationships to quality care, growth, and quality of life. Education, particularly arts-based approaches, has been identified as a key strategy to decrease stigma. Yet rarely are the arts utilized in educational initiatives, and particularly so in community care settings.

Iliac stress fractures are uncommon and are usually insufficiency fractures related to osteoporosis. Only 2 previous case reports of iliac stress fractures in runners that extended into the sacroiliac joint, and 1 previous case of an isolated iliac wing stress fracture not involving the sacroiliac joint were found in the English language literature. We report on a second case of an isolated stress fracture of the iliac wing in a female marathon runner and the associated diagnosis of the female athlete triad.

This study tests the hypothesis that vitamin D insufficiency is comparably prevalent among both high- and low-energy fracture patients. A retrospective analysis of the medical records for 44 orthopedic trauma in-patients with non-vertebral fractures was conducted from June 1, 2006 to February 1, 2007.
