Azole resistance in Aspergillus fumigatus isolates from respiratory specimens in Lyon University Hospitals, France: prevalence and mechanisms involved.

Resistance of Aspergillus fumigatus to triazoles has been reported increasingly in Europe. As few data are available from Southern France, the objectives of this study were to assess the burden of A. fumigatus isolates with azole resistance from clinical specimens in Lyon, and explore the resistance mechanisms involved.

COVID-19 in Lung Transplant Recipients.

Background: A concern about the susceptibility of immunocompromised patients to the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has been raised. We aimed at describing COVID-19 infections in the French cohort of lung transplant (LT) patients.

Methods: Multicenter nationwide cohort study of all LT recipients with COVID-19 diagnosed from March 1 to May 19, 2020.

Combined Single Lung and Liver Transplantation in a Cystic Fibrosis Patient With Previous Contralateral Pneumonectomy: A Case Report.

Combined lung-liver transplantation is a rare life-saving procedure to treat concomitant end-stage lung and liver failure. In this report, we describe the first published case of single lung and liver transplantation in a cystic fibrosis patient who had previously undergone a pneumonectomy for the treatment of an infected and destroyed right lung. We detail the lung first, sequential transplant procedure and surgical difficulties due to mediastinal shift.

Incidence, management and outcome of respiratory syncytial virus infection in adult lung transplant recipients: a 9-year retrospective multicentre study.

Objectives: To analyse functional outcome parameters according to antimicrobial treatments after respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)-confirmed infection in adult lung transplant recipients.

Methods: A 9-year retrospective multicentre cohort study (2011-19) included adult lung transplant recipients with RSV-confirmed infection. The first endpoint determined new allograft dysfunction (acute graft rejection and chronic lung allograft dysfunction (CLAD)) 3 months after infection.
