Aims: Valve durability becomes a major issue as transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) is expanding to populations with longer life expectancy. We sought to i) determine the incidence of structural valve deterioration (SVD), ii) compare the incidence of SVD between balloon-expandable (BE) and self-expandable (SE) valves, and iii) analyze the impact of SVD.
Methods And Results: 2040 patients who underwent TAVI (2007-2020) from 9 centers were included.
Introduction: Moyamoya disease (MMD) is a chronic cerebrovascular disorder characterized by progressive stenosis or occlusion of the internal carotid arteries and the development of collateral moyamoya vessels. Surgical revascularization is commonly used to prevent future ischemic events in ischemic-type MMD, but there remains a high rate of stroke perioperatively. This study aims to analyze the predictive factors for perioperative stroke in patients with ischemic-type MMD undergoing surgical revascularization using a large multicenter database.

Countries all around the world recognise the impact of air quality on public health, advocating for city centre decarbonisation and pollutant monitoring via Internet of Things technologies. Using data collected from these systems, it is possible to generate models that predict pollution based on regular patterns where mobility data can enhance the accuracy and robustness of these advanced machine learning models. This paper follows this approach, utilising vehicle traffic data from image recognition, on-site vehicle detectors, and synthetic data to maximise prediction accuracy in various urban environments.
