Bilateral recurrent orbital inflammation associated with retroperitoneal fibrosclerosis.

Orbital inflammation initially presented in a patient who five years later developed renal obstruction from retroperitoneal fibrosclerosis. Biopsy revealed infiltration of chronic lymphocytic cells in the orbit and dense fibrous connective tissue in the pelvis. Episodes of proptosis were controlled with systemic steroids and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents.

Clinical evaluation of extended-wear lidofilcon B contact lenses in aphakia.

A total of 138 aphakic eyes in 109 patients were fitted with lidofilcon B contact lenses for extended wear. These patients were observed for six months to more than three years. Their problems with fit, comfort, infection, lens loss, and visual acuity were reviewed.

Fibrous dysplasia of bone with proptosis.

A case of fibrous dysplasia of the bone presented as monocular proptosis in a 10-year-old boy. The characteristics of the disease entity, differential diagnosis, and treatment are discussed.
