The association between psoriasis and increased cancer risk is gaining recognition as studies reveal shared inflammatory and immune pathways. This review examines the relationship between psoriasis and neoplasia, focusing on cancer risk factors in psoriasis patients, the biological pathways underlying this connection, and the impact of various psoriasis treatments on cancer development. Psoriasis patients have a heightened incidence of certain cancers, such as lymphomas, skin cancers, and urological malignancies, potentially linked to immune dysregulation and chronic inflammation.

Large conductance Ca-activated K channels (BK) regulate cerebrovascular reactivity and are impaired in AD. BK activity depends on intracellular Ca (Ca sparks) and nitro-oxidative post-translational modifications.

Our objective was to examine the association between birth outcomes and risk of premature CVD or death in a contemporary cohort of pregnant women.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective population-based cohort study of women in Alberta, Canada, between 01/01/2005 and 01/01/2023.
Background: Pyoderma gangrenosum, acne, and suppurative hidradenitis (PASH) syndrome is a rare condition characterized by clinical features of all three dermatologic conditions. The management of PASH syndrome is difficult, with no consensus on treatment guidelines. Since PASH syndrome can increase morbidity and adversely impact quality of life, better characterization of effective therapies is needed.
