Mobile Health to Improve Efficacy of Interdental Brushing Among Periodontitis Patients: A Randomized Clinical Trial.

Aim: Compliance with plaque control measures in open interdental spaces, an essential element in management of periodontitis, is reported to be poor. Mobile health (mHealth) approach is an effective approach for behavior change. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of mHealth in improving plaque control in type 2 embrasures.

Background: The influence of periodontal phenotype (PP) has been documented in the outcomes of various surgical periodontal interventions such as crown lengthening, mucogingival surgery, implant restoration, and open flap debridement. Previous studies with smaller sample sizes have assessed the role of PP on the outcome of nonsurgical periodontal therapy with inconsistent results.

Aim: The aim of the current interventional study is to estimate the influence of PP on the outcome of subgingival instrumentation in Stage II and III, Grade A and B periodontitis.

Accessory gallbladder with partial encasement by esophageal adenocarcinoma: A rare case report.

Accessory gallbladders are rare congenital malformations of the hepatobiliary system. They are often incidentally diagnosed preoperatively or intra-operatively. We report a case of a 52-year-old man with an accessory gallbladder that was partially encased by esophageal adenocarcinoma.
