Objectives: In spite of COVID-19's typical presentation in the form of fever, cough, myalgia, and pneumonia, other gastrointestinal manifestations have been reported. Among the COVID-19 survivors, anal fissure has been documented. The aim of this study was to report the incidence of anal fissure among those patients, its possible risk factors and outcome.

Human tonsil epithelial cells (HTECs) are a heterogeneous group of actively differentiating cells. Here, we investigated the cellular features and susceptibility of differentiated HTECs to specific influenza viruses, including expression of avian-type and mammalian-type sialic acid (SA) receptors, viral replication dynamics, and the associated cytokine secretion profiles.

The objective of the present study was to investigate the effect of NOTCH2 gene polymorphisms on productive and reproductive performance of fertile and anestrum cattle.
Methods: The cattle were classified into anestrus for 3-12 months postpartum (n = 115, 37.
Metabolic syndrome during menopause can lead to diabetes, cardiovascular problems, and increased mortality rates. Hormone replacement therapy is recommended to manage climacteric complications, but it has serious adverse effects. This study, therefore, investigated the potential of supplementing some minerals, vitamins, and natural products like boric acid, magnesium, vitamin D3, and extra virgin olive oil on metabolic status of menopausal ovariectomized rats.

Semen of Egyptian buffalo were pooled and diluted with eight Tris extenders supplemented with either 6% glycerol (control group, GL6), 3% (low level, GL3), sucrose (SU, 50 mM), trehalose (TR, 50 mM), 6% glycerol together with 50 mM of sucrose (GL6SU) or 50 mM of trehalose (GL6TR), and 3% of glycerol together with 50 mM of sucrose (GL3SU) or 50 mM of trehalose (GL3TR), then frozen following the standard protocol. Findings indicated that GL3 extender resulted in the highest values of progressive motility, sperm kinematics, sperm membrane integrity, and viability of post-thawed semen (37 °C for 30 s).
