The crystal structures of four coordination polymers constructed from Sn(II) and polydentate carboxylate ligands are reported. All are prepared under hydrothermal conditions in KOH or LiOH solutions (either water or methanol-water) at 130-180 °C and crystallize as small crystals, microns or less in size. Single-crystal structure solution and refinement are performed using synchrotron X-ray diffraction for two materials and using 3D electron diffraction (3DED) for the others.

Background: During the unexpected lockdown implemented in early 2020 in reaction to the coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, a considerable section of India's population of migrant construction-site workers were stuck.

Objective: Our objective was to explore the lived experiences and consequent perceptions of migrant workers related to the COVID-19 lockdown and the consequences on their lives.

Methods: We conducted structured in-depth interviews (IDIs) with twelve migrant construction-site workers in Bhavnagar, Western India, from November to December 2020, using qualitative research methods.

An approach to the coupling-parameter expansion in the liquid state theory of simple fluids is presented by combining the ideas of thermodynamic perturbation theory and integral equation theories. This hybrid scheme avoids the problems of the latter in the two phase region. A method to compute the perturbation series to any arbitrary order is developed and applied to square well fluids.

The global renormalization-group theory (GRGT) for fluids is derived starting with the square-gradient approximation for the Helmholtz free energy functional such that any mean-field free energy density and direct correlation function can be employed. The new derivation uses Wilson's functions for representing density fluctuations, thereby relaxing the assumption of cosine variation of density fluctuations used in earlier approaches. The generality of the present approach is shown by deriving the relationships to the earlier developments.

Several analogues of the potent anthelmintic praziquantel were prepared with variation in the aromatic ring. The biological activity of these analogues was evaluated and compared against known analogues. Amination of the ring was tolerated while other variations were not.
