The current state and future direction of childcare for cancer patients: a narrative review.

Purpose: One in four patients diagnosed with cancer are parents to dependent children. For these patients, childcare services are needed to overcome the time demands of cancer treatment. Despite the childcare support needs and its potential impact on treatment outcomes, targeted childcare services for cancer patients remain limited.

Introduction: Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is a common genetic heart disorder. It is characterized by left ventricular hypertrophy and impaired cardiac function, with forms categorized into obstructive (oHCM) and nonobstructive (nHCM). Traditional treatments address symptoms but not the underlying disease mechanism, highlighting the need for novel therapies.

Nanomaterials-plants-microbes interaction: plant growth promotion and stress mitigation.

Soil salinization, extreme climate conditions, and phytopathogens are abiotic and biotic stressors that remarkably reduce agricultural productivity. Recently, nanomaterials have gained attention as effective agents for agricultural applications to mitigate such stresses. This review aims to critically appraise the available literature on interactions involving nanomaterials, plants, and microorganisms.

Risk Factors for Development of Diabetes Insipidus and Syndrome of Inappropriate Antidiuretic Hormone Secretion after Transsphenoidal Resection of Pituitary Adenoma.

 We aimed to determine the incidence and risk factors for development of diabetes insipidus (DI) and syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion (SIADH) after transsphenoidal hypophysectomy (TSH) for resection of a pituitary adenoma.  This was a retrospective study of 403 adult patients undergoing TSH for pituitary adenoma. Clinical variables, tumor characteristics, and operative factors were collected.
