: Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), associated with a significant burden on patients' lives, are becoming increasingly common. Patients with IBD need continuous treatment and lifelong monitoring, which could be achieved by telemonitoring. Telemonitoring has been shown to be effective in improving outcomes for patients with IBD, and can provide a more convenient and accessible way for patients to receive care.

[Glucose metabolism disorders and hypoglycemic therapy in patients hospitalized for elective lower limb arthroplasty: a prospective, single-center, real-world study].

Aim: To assess the incidence of glucose metabolism disorders, administered hypoglycemic therapy and its effectiveness in a cohort of patients with previously diagnosed diabetes mellitus (DM) hospitalized for scheduled lower limb joint arthroplasty.

Materials And Methods: The study included 502 patients. Medical history, information about previously diagnosed DM and prescribed hypoglycemic therapy were collected in all patients according to medical documentation, as well as according to the patients' survey.

Aim: To assess the relationship between plasma chitotiosidase (CHIT) level and mortality in hospitalized patients with COVID-19.

Materials And Methods: 347 hospitalized patients with COVID-19 were enrolled in our single-center cohort prospective observational study. On the first day of hospitalization the patients were assessed by the level of CHIT in the venosus blood to addition to default laboratory examinations.

Mixed-Etiology Restrictive Cardiomyopathy (Desminopathy and Hemochromatosis) with Complex Liver Lesions.

A 28 year-old male with restrictive cardiomyopathy (RCM) and endocardium thickening, conduction disorders, heart failure, and depressive disorder treated with paroxetine was admitted to the clinic. Blood tests revealed an increase in serum iron level, transferrin saturation percentage, and slightly elevated liver function tests. Sarcoidosis, storage diseases and Loeffler endocarditis were ruled out.
