Ultraportable (UP) X-ray devices are ideal to use in community-based settings, particularly for chest X-ray (CXR) screening of tuberculosis (TB). Unfortunately, there is insufficient guidance on the radiation safety of these devices. This study aims to determine the radiation dose by UP X-ray devices to both the public and radiographers compared to international dose limits.

Methods: This study employed a cross-sectional study design using the task analysis methodology. A self-administered questionnaire derived from a national health practice guideline was used.
Despite arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) being predominantly a right ventricular (RV) disease, concomitant left ventricular (LV) involvement has been recognized. ARVC is diagnosed by the RV-centric 2010 Task Force Criteria(TFC) using routine echocardiography, but previous studies have suggested that strain imaging may be more sensitive to detect RV and LV dysfunction. No data however are available regarding the additional value of combining biventricular strain for risk stratification.

Methods: A retrospective review of patients treated for IP at our institution was performed.
Treatment of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases using biologic therapies is limited due to the blood-brain barrier (BBB). This study explores a clinically validated approach to bypass the BBB for the purposes of direct central nervous system (CNS) delivery of antibodies using the Minimally Invasive Nasal Depot (MIND) technique. Using a lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced mouse model of neuroinflammation, we evaluated the efficacy of MIND in delivering a BBB impermeant full-length anti-IL-1β antibody.
