A new approach to managing the extraction properties of eutectic solvents based on aliphatic alcohols is proposed. Aliphatic alcohols, when functioning as hydrogen bond donors within a eutectic solvent, significantly enhance the solvent's efficiency in extracting metal ions. Conversely, when the alcohol acts as a hydrogen bond acceptor, its extraction properties diminish.

Low-molecular-weight organic acids (LMWOAs) are essential O-containing metal-binding ligands involved in maintaining metal homeostasis, various metabolic processes, and plant responses to biotic and abiotic stress. Malate, citrate, and oxalate play a crucial role in metal detoxification and transport throughout the plant. This review provides a comparative analysis of the accumulation of LMWOAs in excluders, which store metals mainly in roots, and hyperaccumulators, which accumulate metals mainly in shoots.

This study also evaluated the dry weight percentage of low molecular weight antioxidant capacity, expression patterns of some photoreceptor-regulated genes, and structural aspects of leaf mesophyll cells. The 3005 mutant displayed increased levels of photosynthetic pigments and anthocyanins, whereas the 3617 mutant demonstrated a heightened content of ultraviolet-absorbing pigments.

A spark discharge with a 5 kHz frequency and 1250 ns duration has been exited between two electrodes in atmospheric pressure. The sequence of holograms acquired due to the proper synchronization between plasma pulses, laser radiation, and the camera's frame grabbing that ensure the recording of the plasma pulses at different moments of time, and the temporal optical scanning of plasma pulse were realized.

Usually, when preparing HDES, only the extraction ability of one component is taken into account, with the second serving as an "inert" component, whose effect on the extraction process is not taken into account. The present study demonstrates the possibility of controlling the selectivity of a hydrophobic deep eutectic solvent based on trioctylphosphine oxide (TOPO) by varying the substance that acts as a hydrogen bond donor, but which does not have an extractive ability.
