Assessing customer satisfaction: the case of test prescribers at the clinical biology laboratory of Centre Muraz/ Institut National de Santé Publique, Burkina Faso.

Context: Assessing customer satisfaction with a product or service is one technique for evaluating the quality of a product or service given by a company. One of the instruments used to gauge customer satisfaction is the satisfaction survey. The Clinical Biology Laboratory of Centre Muraz employed this method to determine how satisfied its test prescribers were to improve.

Candida tropicalis, Clavispora lusitaniae, Limosilactobacillus fermentum, Liquorilactobacillus mali, and Leuconostoc pseudomesenteroides are associated with ethanol in Malian traditional fermented milk products.

Fermented milk products (FMP) have been consumed by humans for millennia and the associated health benefits are no longer to be demonstrated. Although the manufacturing procedure have been industrialized, FMPs are still produced traditionally in many parts of the world with variable manufacturing procedures and unknown sanitary conditions. In this study, we aimed at comparing the physico-chemical properties of industrial and traditional FMPs from France and Mali as well as their microbial diversity.

Beyond Tumor Borders: Intratumoral Microbiome Effects on Tumor Behavior and Therapeutic Responses.

The human body contains a diverse array of microorganisms, which exert a significant impact on various physiological processes, including immunity, and can significantly influence susceptibility to various diseases such as cancer. Recent advancements in metagenomic sequencing have uncovered the role of intratumoral microbiome, which covertly altered the development of cancer, the growth of tumors, and the response to existing treatments through multiple mechanisms. These mechanisms involve mainly DNA damage induction, oncogenic signaling pathway activation, and the host's immune response modulation.

Child mortality in Eastern Ethiopia: acceptability of Postmortem minimally invasive tissue sampling in a predominantly muslim community.

Background: It is crucial to consider cultural, religious, and socio-behavioural factors that may influence the acceptability of Minimally Invasive Tissues Sampling (MITS). MITS is being used to understand the causes of child death and conducted in nine countries within Africa and South Asia with the highest child mortality. Progress has been made in the development of laboratory infrastructures and training for physicians to do MITS, but many communities are concerned about the religious acceptability of taking samples from deceased children.

Adding Virome Capture Metagenomic Sequencing to Conventional Laboratory Testing Increases Unknown Fever Etiology Determination in Bamako, Mali.

Unexplained fever poses significant diagnostic challenges in resource-limited settings like Bamako, Mali, where overlapping endemic diseases include malaria, HIV/AIDS, yellow fever, typhoid, and others. This study aimed to elucidate the infectious etiologies of acute febrile illnesses in this context. Acute febrile patients of any age were enrolled after informed consent or assent.
