This article presents the results of comprehensive radiological studies conducted in 2021 in order to assess the radiation situation in the Kungur Ice Cave (hereinafter referred to as the KIC). Since the cave is a fairly popular sightseeing object, therefore, the safety of both tourists and workers is a key task for scientific study. The radiation safety assessment was carried out taking into account the parameters of the radiation (gamma) background, measurements of radon and thoron concentrations, microclimatic indicators (air temperature, humidity), airflow rate, illumination and calculation of the indicator of a special assessment of working conditions (SAWC).

The major complication to effective therapies for mental disorders is the poor understanding of their pathogenic mechanisms. Background: Bisulfite sequencing detects and quantifies DNA methylation patterns, contributing to our understanding of gene expression regulation, genome stability maintenance, conservation of epigenetic mechanisms across divergent taxa, epigenetic inheritance and, eventually, phenotypic variation. Graphical representation of methylation data is crucial in exploring epigenetic regulation on a genome-wide scale in both plants and animals. This is especially relevant for non-model organisms with poorly annotated genomes and/or organisms where genome sequences are not yet assembled on chromosome level.
