The SPICE Modeling of a Radiation Sensor Based on a MOSFET with a Dielectric HfO/SiO Double-Layer.

We report on a procedure for extracting the SPICE model parameters of a RADFET sensor with a dielectric HfO/SiO double-layer. RADFETs, traditionally fabricated as PMOS transistors with SiO, are enhanced by incorporating high-k dielectric materials such as HfO to reduce oxide thickness in modern radiation sensors. The fabrication steps of the sensor are outlined, and model parameters, including the threshold voltage and transconductance, are extracted based on experimental data.

Maximal strength, sprint and jump performance in elite kumite karatekas.

Background: Both maximal muscle strength and muscle power are independently important for karatekas. However, the relationship between strength and power in elite male kumite karatekas is under researched. This study aimed to determine the relationship between back-leg-chest (BLC) isometric muscle strength with sprint and jump variables in elite male karatekas.

Acrodermatitis dysmetabolica: lessons from two pediatric cases.

Objectives: Acrodermatitis dysmetabolica (AD) is a dermatologic manifestation associated with inherited metabolic disorders (IMDs), distinct from acrodermatitis enteropathica, which occurs solely due to zinc deficiency.

Case Presentation: This report presents two pediatric cases: a 30-month-old girl with maple syrup urine disease (MSUD) experiencing AD secondary to severe isoleucine deficiency due to a protein-restricted diet, showing improvement with dietary adjustments, and a 2.5-month-old boy infant with propionic acidemia (PA) who developed AD alongside septic shock, which progressed despite intervention.

Prognostic factors for transplant-free survival in patients with secondary sclerosing cholangitis associated with critical illness.

Objective: Secondary sclerosing cholangitis (SSC) represents a disease with a poor prognosis increasingly diagnosed in clinical settings. Notably, SSC in critically ill patients (SSC-CIP) is the most frequent cause. Variables associated with worse prognosis remain unclear.

Context: Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) have recently emerged in assessing pheochromocytomas and paragangliomas (PPGLs). However, their combined use with PASS scale has not yet been explored.
