Pazopanib, a multi-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor, has been explored for its efficacy in treating various subtypes of thyroid cancer, including differentiated thyroid carcinoma (DTC), medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC), and anaplastic thyroid carcinoma (ATC). This systematic review assesses the efficacy and safety of pazopanib, focusing on the progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), and response rates and adverse events. A comprehensive search was conducted in databases including PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science up to October 2024 to identify randomized controlled trials and phase II clinical trials that investigated the use of pazopanib in thyroid cancer.

To date, only clinical variables are used to predict outcome for decision-making about adjuvant therapy. We sought to generate a deep learning approach based on hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) or hematoxylin, eosin and saffron (HES) whole slides to predict patients' outcome, compare these new entities with known molecular subtypes and question their biological significance; : We used as a training set a retrospective private cohort of 206 patients treated by surgery for PDAC cancer and a validation cohort of 166 non-metastatic patients from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) PDAC project.

Proper maintenance of intracellular vesicular pH is essential for cargo trafficking during synaptic function and plasticity. Mutations in the SLC9A6 gene encoding the recycling endosomal pH regulator (Na, K)/H exchanger isoform 6 (NHE6) are causal for Christianson syndrome (CS), a severe form of X-linked intellectual disability. NHE6 expression is also downregulated in other neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders, such as autism spectrum disorder and Alzheimer's disease, suggesting its dysfunction could contribute more broadly to the pathophysiology of other neurological conditions.

This narrative review synthesizes findings from searches of 11 leading databases of research studies, systematic reviews, book chapters, and clinical trial reports on lung cancer in senior patients, with a focus on geriatric assessment as well as biomarkers. Key prognostic factors for lung cancer in seniors include biological age, functional capability, physical and psychological comorbidities, frailty, nutrition, status, and biomarkers like DNA methylation age.
