The primary objective of this study was to identify bioactive compounds from four medicinal plants with multi-targeting activity against hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). A comprehensive analysis led to the identification of a subset of compounds possessing favorable drug-likeness, pharmacokinetics, and absence of toxicity profiles. Target analysis for 42 phytochemicals revealed 210 potential targets associated with HCC.

Introduction: Severity of aortic stenosis (AS) in humans is classified using a staging system based on two-dimensional echocardiographic changes, which considers the extent of global cardiac damage. Currently, classification of canine AS is based on trans-aortic pressure gradient (PG) alone. This study aimed to retrospectively classify dogs with AS based on an adapted human staging system, exploring feasibility of classification and the association between stage and features such as PG and clinical signs.

An overview of various industrial and bio-applications of unavoidable bio-waste materials reported in the literature over the last 25 years is presented in this review. Calcium-based food wastes or "unavoidable bio-wastes" are hybrid bio-composite materials, consisting of a softer organic matrix surrounding a stiff mineralized ceramic phase. A wide range of different bio-wastes that are already in use or are investigated for multipurpose applications are presented.

Unlabelled: Lenacapavir (LEN) is a highly potent, long-acting antiretroviral medication for treating people infected with muti-drug-resistant HIV-1 phenotypes. The inhibitor targets multifaceted functions of the viral capsid protein (CA) during HIV-1 replication. Previous studies have mainly focused on elucidating LEN's mode of action during viral ingress.

Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates how clinical attacks contribute to ongoing disability in patients with aquaporin-4 antibody-positive neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (AQP4-NMOSD).
  • A total of 165 patients were analyzed using disability scores recorded after at least six months post-attack, with findings showing a significant increase in disability scores correlating with the number and type of relapses.
  • Results indicated that specific relapse types, particularly the combination of transverse myelitis and optic neuritis, had the most substantial impact on increasing residual disability.
