Background: The increasing prevalence of psychological distress among mothers is outpacing the effectiveness of conventional coping methods like cognitive behavioral therapy. The efficacy of alternatives such as writing therapy for maternal psychological well-being remains uncertain due to a lack of extensive research and inconsistent findings.
Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of expressive writing therapy in comparison to standard postpartum care for alleviating psychological distress, encompassing symptoms of depression, anxiety, or stress, in postpartum women.
The cockroach allergen Bla g 1 encloses an exceptionally large hydrophobic cavity, which allows it to bind and deliver unsaturated fatty acid ligands. Bla g 1-mediated delivery of naturally occurring (nMix) ligands has been shown to destabilize lipid membranes, contributing to its digestive/antiviral functions within the source organism. Here, we repurpose DNA excision repair and integrate it with bioorthogonal conjugation to construct a diverse array of DNA hybrid catalysts for highly accessible and high-throughput asymmetric DNA catalysis, enabling a dramatically expedited catalyst optimization process, superior reactivity and selectivity, as well as the first atroposelective DNA catalysis. The bioorthogonality of this conjugation strategy ensures exceptional tolerance toward diverse functional groups, thereby facilitating the facile construction of 44 DNA hybrid catalysts bearing various unprotected functional groups.
