Giant dilatation of pancreatic duct associated with congenital anomaly of the pancreatic ductal system and small neuroendocrine tumor.

Dilatation of the main pancreatic duct (MPD) ˃50 mm is a rare phenomenon. We present the case of successful surgical treatment a 63-year-old female patient who presented epigastric pain and weight loss of 10 kg in 6 months. Based on preoperative examination, the dilatation of MPD was 75 mm.

[Synchronous left atrial myxoma and gastric cancer: a case report].

The authors present a 57-year-old patient with synchronous left atrial myxoma and gastric cancer undergoing staged treatment. Distal gastrectomy with gastroduodenostomy at the first stage was followed by resection of the left atrial myxoma after 22 days. Postoperative period was uneventful after both interventions.

[Features and results of minimally invasive treatment of recurrent achalasia].

Esophageal achalasia is an esophageal motility disease characterized by impaired relaxation of lower esophageal sphincter (LES) and severe clinical symptoms. The main etiological factors and other essential aspects of pathogenesis and progression of this disorder are actively studied. To date, the question of significance of etiological factors is experimental and requires further study.

Natural silicate nanoparticles: separation, characterization, and assessment of stability and perspectives of their use as reference nanomaterials.

Natural nanomaterials, which play a very important role in environmental processes, are so far poorly studied. Firstly, the separation of nanoparticles from the bulk sample is a challenge. Secondly, the absence of reference natural nanomaterials makes it impossible to compare the results obtained by different researchers and develop a unified methodology for the separation and characterization of natural nanomaterials.
