Case report of an infant with congenital mesoblastic nephroma leading to pulmonary metastasis.

Congenital mesoblastic nephroma is considered a tumour with favourable clinical behaviour with only few reported cases of metastases. We report an infant who underwent complete resection and later developed pulmonary metastasis. Ten-month-old baby girl initially presented at 3 weeks of age with macroscopic haematuria, hypertension and a lumbar mass.

Child emotional and behavioral difficulties and parent stress during COVID-19 lockdown in Sri Lankan families.

Introduction: Understanding parents' and children's mental health issues would help design population-specific intervention programs. The present study explored parents' perceived stress and child emotions and behavior during the COVID-19 lockdown among Sri Lankan families.

Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among Sri Lankan parents of children aged 11 to 17 years.

A Sri Lankan infant with immunoglobulin resistant incomplete Kawasaki disease with a vesicular psoriasiform rash, hypertension and late onset small joint arthritis: a case report.

Background: Kawasaki disease (KD) is a medium and small vessel vasculitis which usually has a good response to immunoglobulin therapy (IVIG). We present a case of incomplete KD with IVIG resistance associated with an unusual combination of vesicular guttate-psoriasiform rash, hypertension and late onset small joint arthritis.

Case Presentation: A four-month-old male infant from Sri Lanka presented with high fever, conjunctival redness, pedal oedema and skin rash.

Hand hygiene behavior among Sri Lankan medical students during COVID-19 pandemic.

Background: Poor compliance with hand hygiene practices among medical students poses a risk for cross-infection. It has become more critical during the COVID-19 pandemic than ever before. This study aimed to determine the knowledge, attitudes, practices of hand hygiene among final-year medical students.

Validating the Medical Students' Stressor Questionnaire (MSSQ) from a Sri Lankan medical faculty.

Objectives: The Medical Students' Stressor Questionnaire (MSSQ) is a specific tool to assess the degree of stress in medical students. However, this tool has not been validated in Sri Lanka. Therefore, this study contextually adapted the MSSQ and investigated its validity in the local context.
