Introduction: Research participation is essential for professional development and improving patient care outcomes, yet many sonographers face barriers such as limited time, inadequate support, and insufficient research skills. This study aims to enhance the sonography profession by identifying and addressing the motivational drivers and barriers affecting sonographers' research engagement in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Sudan.
Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted using a Google Form platform between September and December 2023.
Background: Breathing control training programs have gained attention due to their potential to influence diagnostic procedures. However, the role of video-based tools to demonstrate breathing maneuvers during sonographic quantification of abdominal organs needs to be studied more. Methods: This cohort study was conducted at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, Saudi Arabia, among thirty-three females of reproductive age who underwent trans-abdominal pelvic ultrasound scans across four menstrual cycle phases. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 26, utilizing descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, correlation, and regression analysis.
Objectives: To compare vascular scanning parameters (vessel diameter, peak systolic velocity, end-diastolic velocity, and resistive index) and scanning time before and after breathing control training program for selected abdominal vessels.
Methods: This study was pre and post quasi-experimental. The researchers designed a breathing training program that gives participants instructions through a video describing breathing maneuvers.
