Background: Young adults with type 1 diabetes (T1D) face complex health challenges, including a heightened risk for distress. To counter this distress, there is a need to develop accessible, acceptable comprehensive care solutions that integrate diabetes and mental health care to enhance self-efficacy and counter mental health challenges in this population.
Objective: To describe the engagement of individuals with lived experience of T1D and mental health challenges in the development of a recruitment strategy to support the co-design of an innovative integrated care programme.
Environmental change, especially frequent droughts, is predicted to detrimentally impact the North American perennial grasslands. Consistent dry spells will affect plant communities as well as their associated rhizobiomes, possibly altering the plant host performance under environmental stress. Therefore, there is a need to understand the impact of drought on the rhizobiome, and how the rhizobiome may modulate host performance and ameliorate its response to drought stress.

During the period of study (3 months) one group of patients receive the usual diet while the other received an oral nutritional supplement rich in fats an minimum of 75% of their energy expenditure measured at rest. The patients studied, with mild COLD, were hypermetabolic, and although at rest they presented indirect calorimetry data such as would correspond to similar subjects, during exercise not just the limit on exercise became clear but also the alteration to ventilatory capacity and gas exchange.

Comparisons were made between the absolute values, the medians, and the multiples of the median (MOM) obtained by each method.
