Background: It is difficult for clinicians to make predictions for cancer progression or outcomes based on AJCC staging for individual patients. Models individualising risk prediction for clinical outcomes are developed using patient level data, advanced statistical techniques, and artificial intelligence.
Methods: A systematic search identified cutaneous melanoma prognostic prediction tools published between January 1985-March 2023.
Background: Microbial Keratitis (MK) is a leading cause of corneal blindness due to infection and its consequences, with a higher incidence in resource-limited nations. Hospital-based patient records from different parts of Nepal suggest patients often use traditional eye medicine to treat MK. Traditional healers (TH) within the community are often the first point of care for MK management.

Different radiopharmaceuticals are used internationally to localise the sentinel node using lymphoscintigraphy (LSG) before surgery. Recent reports have suggested that a delayed interval between LSG and SLNB using Tc-labelled nanocolloid tracer has an adverse survival impact, but not with Tc-labelled antimony sulphide colloid.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA 51-year-old woman with a 2-mm-Breslow-thickness melanoma on her arm had 99mTc-nanocolloid lymphoscintigraphy to localize the associated sentinel lymph node. A single axillary node was identified, and histology confirmed a micrometastasis of breast tissue origin. Imaging of the patient's breasts and subsequent biopsy confirmed ipsilateral stage III breast cancer, which was treated with lumpectomy and axillary node clearance.
