Taxonomic review of weevils of the tribe Celeuthetini, mainly from Sundaland, Sulawesi and the Lesser Sunda Islands (Coleoptera, Curculionidae, Entiminae).

Type material of species belonging to the weevil tribe Celeuthetini Lacordaire, 1863 mainly from Sundaland, Sulawesi and the Lesser Sunda Islands was studied. Mitochondrial sequence data could be obtained for 27 old type specimens, providing important evidence on their systematic placement. Various taxonomic problems evident from molecular and morphological data are remedied.

Correction: High frequencies of theropod bite marks provide evidence for feeding, scavenging, and possible cannibalism in a stressed Late Jurassic ecosystem.

Spatial transcriptomics reveals molecular cues underlying the site specificity of the adult mouse oral mucosa and its stem cell niches.

The oral cavity is a multifunctional organ composed of structurally heterogeneous mucosal tissues that remain poorly characterized. Oral mucosal tissues are highly stratified and segmented along an epithelial-lamina propria axis. Here, we performed spatial transcriptomics (tomo-seq) on the tongue, cheeks, and palate of the adult mouse to understand the cues that maintain the oral mucosal sites.

Processing of prosodic cues of uncertainty in autistic and non-autistic adults: a study based on articulatory speech synthesis.

Introduction: We investigated the prosodic perception of uncertainty cues in adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) compared to neurotypical adults (NTC).

Method: We used articulatory synthetic speech to express uncertainty in a human-machine scenario by varying the three acoustic cues , , and . Twenty-eight adults with ASD and 28 NTC adults rated each answer for uncertainty, naturalness, and comprehensibility.

A novel screening instrument for the assessment of autism in German language: validation of the German version of the RAADS-R, the RADS-R.

The Ritvo Autism Asperger Diagnostic Scale-Revised (RAADS-R) demonstrated excellent results in its original study, with a sensitivity of 97% and a specificity of 100% (Ritvo et al. in J Autism Dev Disord 41:1076-1089, 2011). As a result, it was included in the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines (Recommendations | Autism spectrum disorder in adults: diagnosis and management | Guidance | NICE, 2022).
