Survival Outcomes for Adolescent and Young Adults With Cancer in Low- and Middle-Income Countries: A Systematic Review.

Purpose: Patients with adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer are recognized as a vulnerable subpopulation in high-income countries (HICs). Although survival gaps between HIC and low- and middle-income country (LMIC) children with cancer are well described, LMIC AYAs have been neglected. We conducted a systematic review to describe cancer outcomes among LMIC AYAs.

Clinical features in patients with acquired intermittent and constant exotropia who underwent surgery.

Background: acquired exotropia mostly manifests as an intermittent form, and very few cases show constant exotrpia. However, the differences in the clinical features of the constant and intermittent exotropia patients has not been clear yet.

Methods: We retrospectively evaluated 6159 patients with exotropia from 2012 to 2022 in Farabi Eye Hospital, Tehran, Iran.

The Effect of Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty on Corneal Biomechanical Parameters.

Purpose: to determine the effect of lower eyelid blepharoplasty (LEB) surgery on corneal biomechanical parameters before and four months after the procedure. Method: In this prospective longitudinal study, corneal biomechanical parameters measured by Corneal Visualization Scheimpflug Technology (Corvis ST, CVS, Oculus Optikgeräte GmbH, Germany) device were evaluated before and four months after LEB surgery.

Results: The study included 19 eyelids of the right eyes of 19 patients who underwent LEB, with a mean age of 49.
