Use of large language models as artificial intelligence tools in academic research and publishing among global clinical researchers.

With breakthroughs in Natural Language Processing and Artificial Intelligence (AI), the usage of Large Language Models (LLMs) in academic research has increased tremendously. Models such as Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) are used by researchers in literature review, abstract screening, and manuscript drafting. However, these models also present the attendant challenge of providing ethically questionable scientific information.

The Human Cornea: Unraveling Its Structural, Chemical, and Biochemical Complexities.

The cornea, the transparent part of the anterior eye, is vital for light refraction and vision. This review examines the intricate chemical and biochemical interactions essential for maintaining corneal transparency and highlights significant advancements in corneal biology. The cornea comprises five layers: the epithelium, Bowman's layer, stroma, Descemet's membrane, and endothelium, each contributing uniquely to its structure and function.

Utilizing Binary Phase Segregation and Extrusion to Enhance the Electronic Properties of Graphene Nanocomposites.

Our goal in this study is to incorporate graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) in a polymer blend of poly(lactic acid) (PLA) and isotactic polypropylene (iPP) to facilitate the dispersion of GNPs and use the morphology of phase segregation to create a pathway for concentrating GNPs to achieve percolation with lower GNP concentration. Investigating the interfacial properties between PLA/GNPs and iPP/GNPs, we noticed that iPP has a lower contact angle on GNPs compared to PLA on GNPs. This showed a great potential that the GNP are easily confined in iPP rather than in PLA domains or at the PLA/PP interfaces.

Safety and immunogenicity of a pentavalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine versus a quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine in adults in India: an observer-blind, randomised, active-controlled, phase 2/3 study.

Background: Meningococcal disease remains an important public health problem globally. We assessed the non-inferiority and the lot-to-lot consistency of a pentavalent meningococcal ACYWX conjugate vaccine (NmCV-5; Serum Institute of India, Pune, India) versus a quadrivalent meningococcal ACWY conjugate vaccine (MenACWY-D) in healthy adults.

Methods: In this observer-blind, randomised, active-controlled, phase 2/3 study, healthy adults aged 18-85 years were recruited from nine hospitals across seven cities in India.
