Purpose: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) doubles the morbidity of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and leads to a 50% increase in mortality compared to the general population. This study aims to estimate the CVD incidence among RA patients in Saudi Arabia (SA), vital for assessing CVD burdens within this group.
Patients And Methods: This retrospective study took place at two centers in the Eastern Province of SA, including all adult RA patients who visited the rheumatology clinic from 2016 to 2021 and were prescribed disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs).
Purpose: Multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs) among Gram-negative bacteria (GNB) are a major public health concern worldwide, which can even lead to death. This study was conducted to determine the prevalence of MDROs among isolated GNB in the Security Forces Hospital Dammam (SFHD) and identify its associated risk factors.
Materials And Methods: A cross-sectional study was performed on the most commonly isolated GNB in SFHD, spp.
Background: There is a scarcity of data concerning the prevalence and pattern of malocclusion and orthodontic treatment needs in Syrian refugee. In this study, extra and intra-oral features of malocclusion and the dental health component of the Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need (IOTN) were reported.
Methods: Examination of 606 Syrian children/adolescents refugees attending Zaatari clinic was carried out (males = 280, females = 326, mean age = 11.

Nutrients loads in aquatic systems are dynamic and highly influenced by changing the land, soil, and atmospheric conditions. This study enhances water quality modeling by providing novel nitrate transport models using remotely-sensed geospatial data, allowing for dynamic predictions of nitrate loads in watersheds. One factor at a time, sensitivity analysis was employed in the classical nitrate transport model to incorporate the impacts of 1) nitrates in the soil moisture profiles 2) wet deposition of nitrates and 3) the synergistic effects of multiple atmospheric and soil effects on nitrate-nitrogen in catchments.

This ecological study aimed to assess the association between long-term exposures to outdoor environmental factors and mortality rate from cardiovascular disease (CVD) in a diverse and spatially distributed population from 3,094 counties within the U.S. (n > 3,780,000 CVD deaths) using satellite-derived data of PM concentrations, sunlight, and maximum heat index.
