Chronic lymphoid leukemia metastasis to the gallbladder as a focal mass: A case report.

Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is the second most common hematologic malignancy, and it is characterized by lymphocytic leukocytosis and secondary hematologic deficiencies. While it most commonly presents as a systemic disease, extramedullary involvement may rarely occur. The literature surrounding CLL metastatic disease to the gallbladder is particularly sparse.

MR/US Fusion Technology: What Makes It Tick?

MR/US fusion biopsy has emerged as a significant refinement of traditional prostate cancer diagnostic techniques. Utilizing not only quantitative imaging suspicion information from mpMRI but also the spatial accuracy and three-dimensional localization allows such strategies to specifically sample areas of concern with the gland. As such, diagnostic certainty is markedly improved.

Müllerian Remnant Cyst as a Cause of Acute Abdomen in a Female Patient with Müllerian Agenesis: Radiologic and Pathologic Findings.

We report a case of a 17-year-old female with Müllerian agenesis who presented with right sided abdominal pain clinically suspicious for acute appendicitis. Multimodality imaging workup revealed a heterogeneous cystic right upper quadrant mass with surrounding fluid and inflammatory changes. Surgical resection of this mass was performed and a histopathologic diagnosis of a hemorrhagic Müllerian remnant cyst was made, which to the best of our knowledge has never been described in a patient with Müllerian agenesis.

Segmental Testicular Infarction, an Underdiagnosed Entity: Case Report with Histopathologic Correlation and Review of the Diagnostic Features.

A 30-year-old male presented with a 1-day history of left scrotal pain and a tender left testicle and epididymis on physical exam. Scrotal ultrasound showed an avascular, heterogeneous, hypoechoic lesion in the superior left testis suggestive of infarction or neoplasm. The patient was managed conservatively; however, his pain continued and follow-up ultrasound 6 days later showed interval increase in the size of the mass.

The ligament of Treitz (the suspensory ligament of the duodenum): anatomic and radiographic correlation.

The ligament of Treitz suspends the distal duodenum but it has not been identified on abdominal CT scans. Duodenal displacement by an extrinsic mass is not an uncommon finding and is not prevented by the ligament of Treitz. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the size and strength of the ligament of Treitz in autopsy cases and then its visibility on abdominal CT scans.
