Mode-locked lasers are of interest for applications such as biological imaging, nonlinear frequency conversion, and single-photon generation. In the infrared, chip-integrated mode-locked lasers have been demonstrated through integration of laser diodes with low-loss photonic circuits. However, additional challenges, such as a higher propagation loss and smaller alignment tolerances, have prevented the realization of such lasers in the visible range.

Pediatric Lateral Condyle Fractures With Elbow Dislocation: Revisiting the Song Classification of the Most Severe Injuries.

Introduction: Lateral condyle fractures are the second most common pediatric elbow fracture and are at risk for malunion, nonunion or avascular necrosis. The Song or Jakob classification guides management and risk of complications. However, many lateral condyle fractures have accompanying bony or soft tissue injuries, including elbow dislocations, which are not represented in the current Song or Jakob classification systems.

People with dementia and carers can face many barriers, or inequalities, in accessing a diagnosis or care. These barriers are unjust and can be addressed by the right interventions, to ensure that everyone receives equitable access to diagnosis and care. A lack of knowledge about dementia in the health and social care workforce is a recognised barrier.

Widely tunable and narrow-linewidth hybrid-integrated diode laser at 637 nm.

We present hybrid-integrated extended cavity diode lasers tunable around 637 nm, with a gain-wide spectral coverage of 8 nm. This tuning range addresses the zero-phonon line of nitrogen-vacancy centers and includes the wavelength of HeNe lasers (633 nm). Best performance shows wide mode-hop free tuning up to 97 GHz and a narrow intrinsic linewidth down to 10 kHz.

Exploring alternative practice placement models in occupational therapy and physiotherapy: perspectives and experiences of learners and practice educators: a qualitative systematic review.

Within physiotherapy and occupational therapy practice placements, there is a predominance of the one-to-one supervision model which creates limitations for placement capacity expansion. Alternative placement models must be explored to meet training requirements for these professions and ensure the availability of a future workforce. The aim of this review is to explore the experiences and perceptions of practice educators and learners regarding alternative placement models, to inform future planning and the adoption of these opportunities.
