A case of acute encephalopathy manifested with impaired consciousness, hemichorrhea, speech and cognitive impairment in a female patient with COVID-19 and multiple sclerosis is presented. In the literature, there are isolated reports of such a combination of diseases, and therefore difficulties arise in carrying out differential diagnosis and prescribing therapy. Copper(I) halides are well-known for their structural diversity and rich photoluminescence properties, showing great potential for the development of solid-state lighting technology. A series of four molecular copper iodide clusters based on the [CuI] cubane geometry is reported. Among them, [CuI] octanuclear clusters of rare geometry resulting from dimerization of the tetranuclear counterparts were also synthesized.

In an experiment combining various approaches, a precise examination of a portion of the phase diagram of a CsF-AlO system was carried out up to 40 mol% AlO. CsF-AlO solidified mixtures have been investigated using high-field solid-state NMR (Cs, Al, and F) spectroscopy and X-ray powder diffraction over a broad range of compositions with synchrotron powder diffraction and Rietveld analysis. A new cesium oxo-fluoro-aluminate, CsAlOF, was discovered, prepared, and structurally analyzed by synchrotron diffraction analysis.
