Breast cancer (BC) commonly expresses estrogen receptors (ERs); hence, endocrine therapy targeting ERs is considered an effective treatment. Tamoxifen (TAM) resistance is an essential clinical complication leading to cancer progression and metastasis. This study investigated MicroRNAs (miRNAs) potentially implicated in drug resistance (miR-182-3p, miR-382-3p) or sensitivity (miR-93, miR- 142- 3p).

Article Synopsis
  • The study assessed the effectiveness of deep-learning-based auto-contouring in delineating clinical target volumes (CTV) and organs at risk (OARs) for prostate cancer radiotherapy, comparing it to traditional manual methods.
  • It involved analyzing 28 planning CT volumes with three contour types: original, auto-segmented, and expert-defined, examining dosimetric characteristics through various metrics like dose-volume histograms and homogeneity indices.
  • Results showed automated contours had smaller geometric differences from manual contours than variations between different experts, and the automated process also significantly reduced contouring time while maintaining comparable dosimetric accuracy.

Traditional treatment strategies for recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) and recurrent implantation failure (RIF) often result in limited success, placing significant emotional and financial burdens on couples. However, novel approaches such as diagnostic gene profiling, cell therapy, stem cell-derived exosome therapy, and pharmacogenomics offer promising, personalized treatments. Combining traditional treatments with precision and regenerative medicine may enhance the efficacy of these approaches and improve pregnancy outcomes.

Optimal nutrition during pregnancy and lactation is vital for the health of the mother and fetus. Nutritional needs should begin in the preconception period, as the fetus depends on the placenta for essential nutrients required for growth and development. A balanced diet rich in nutrient-dense foods-such as whole grains, vegetables, fruits, dairy, legumes, fish, and lean meats-is essential to meet caloric needs during pregnancy.
