The synthesis, characterization, and electronic properties of 4-((7-methoxyquinolin-4-yl)oxy), 4-(quinolin-2-ylthio), and 4-((7-(trifluoromethyl)quinolin-4-yl)thio) peripherally substituted oxo-titanium phthalocyanines are described for the first time. The structures of the compounds were determined by UV-Vis, FTIR, 1H NMR, and MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry. Electronic spectra and molecular and electronic properties of compounds were calculated by Density Functional Theory (DFT) and Time-Dependent Density Functional Theory (TD-DFT) methods.

Article Synopsis
  • The proximal tubules (PTs) play a crucial role in the kidneys, responsible for reabsorbing molecules like electrolytes and regulating homeostasis.
  • PTs can undergo hypertrophy or hyperfunction in response to stimuli, which can lead to diseases such as diabetes, obesity, and heart failure.
  • The review highlights the normal functions of PTs, the pathologies associated with them, and explores potential pharmacological treatments targeting these tubules.

Objective: Our aim in this study is, does 29-day regular consumption of water extract by volunteer individuals who meet the study criteria have an effect on blood and cytokine values?

Method: In accordance with the purpose of the study, volunteers were asked to consume 100 ml of the extract every morning for 29 days. Three tubes of blood samples were taken from the volunteers on the 15th and 29th days of the study. Biochemical and hematological analysis of the blood samples were performed and immunomodulatory effects through cytokines were examined.

The lifetime incidence of kidney stones is 6%-12% in the general population. Nephrolithiasis is a known cause of acute and chronic kidney injury, mediated via obstructive uropathy or crystal-induced nephropathy, and several modifiable and non-modifiable genetic and lifestyle causes have been described. Evidence for epidemiology and management of nephrolithiasis after kidney transplantation is limited by a low number of publications, small study sizes and short observational periods.
