Aim: To estimate the change in average cost and length of stay (LOS) for the neonatal birth admission resulting from use of the neonatal early-onset sepsis (EOS) calculator compared to guideline-based management, in an Australian perinatal health-care setting.
Methods: A decision-analytic model (decision tree) was constructed to assess admission cost and LOS with EOS calculator use compared to guideline-based management. Probabilities of clinical sepsis-related outcomes were obtained via review of published literature.
Objective: To explore programs and information provided to caregivers of inpatients with dementia to assist with readiness to provide care following discharge.
Methods: A mixed-methods systematic review with meta-analysis was conducted. Search terms included dementia, inpatient, caregiver, anxiety, discharge and counselling.
Purpose: To explore the future hopes and aspirations of adolescents with cerebral palsy (CP) with a particular focus on their reflections on engagement in leisure activities.
Method: This qualitative study used narrative inquiry methodology. Ten adolescents, aged 14-16 years with CP and Manual Ability Classification System levels ranging from I-IV, were purposively sampled from a longitudinal study of leisure participation.
