Background: Advance provision of medication abortion, or the prescription of mifepristone and misoprostol before pregnancy occurs, is an unexplored care model aimed at expanding abortion access. We examine motivations for obtaining advance provision from the online telemedicine service, Aid Access, which supports people in the United States.

Methods: Between May and November 2023, we conducted semi-structured, in-depth interviews with 39 people who obtained advance provision between January 2022 and April 2023.

Kaposi sarcoma (KS) is an angioproliferative neoplasm that affects the skin and lymph nodes. Human herpesvirus-8 (HHV-8) triggers KS by infecting the endothelium and inducing angiogenesis through the production of vascular endothelial growth factors and cytokines. KS is characterized by purplish or hyperpigmented plaques involving the skin and mucous membranes, and visceral involvement is very rare.

Environmental cleaning is essential to patient and health worker safety, yet it is a substantially neglected area in terms of knowledge, practice, and capacity-building, especially in resource-limited settings. Public health advocacy, research and investment are urgently needed to develop and implement cost-effective interventions to improve environmental cleanliness and, thus, overall healthcare quality and safety. We outline here the CLEAN Group Consensus exercise yielding twelve urgent research questions, grouped into four thematic areas: standards, system strengthening, behaviour change, and innovation.
