Effect of disodium phthalocyanine on the structural, optical, electrical, and dielectric properties of PVA/CMC blend towards optoelectronic applications.

In this work, composite films of the polyvinyl alcohol/carboxymethyl cellulose (PVA/CMC) blend (50/50 wt%) doped with various weight percentages of disodium phthalocyanine (NaPc) dye were fabricated utilizing a traditional casting procedure. The structural, morphological, and optical properties of the prepared films were investigated using FT-IR, XRD, SEM, and UV-Vis. FT-IR spectra reveal potential molecular interactions between the NaPc dopants and the polymer blend, which may affect the overall material properties.
