Bispecific Antibody Use in Patients With Lymphoma and Multiple Myeloma.

This article endeavors to navigate the clinical journey of bispecific antibodies (BsAbs), from elucidating common toxicities and management strategies to examining novel agents and broadening access in community health care. These drugs, commonly through T-cell activation, result in shared adverse events such as cytokine release syndrome and immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome. Variations in target antigens and designs, however, might introduce unique toxicities for different BsAbs, warranting specific management approaches.

On-demand treatment with the iron chelator deferasirox is ineffective in preventing blood-induced joint damage in haemophilic mice.

Introduction: Early intervention in the devastating process of haemophilic arthropathy (HA) is highly desirable, but no disease-modifying therapy is currently available. Considering the pivotal role of iron in the development of HA, iron chelation is considered a promising therapeutic approach. A previous study in haemophilic mice demonstrated that treatment with the iron chelator deferasirox (DFX) 8 weeks before joint bleed induction, attenuated cartilage damage upon blood exposure.

The responsiveness and interpretability of psychosocial patient-reported outcome measures in chronic musculoskeletal pain rehabilitation.

Background: For several widely used patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) in chronic musculoskeletal pain (CMSP) rehabilitation, it is still not known whether they are responsive to change, and what the smallest detectable change (SDC) and minimal clinically important change (MCIC) are. Knowledge of these values can be used to accurately interpret change scores in research and clinical practice.

Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, the responsiveness, the SDC and the MCIC of the mental components of the Research and Development 36-Item Health Survey (RAND-36), the Pain Catastrophizing Scale (PCS) and the Tampa Scale of Kinesiophobia (TSK) were investigated in CMSP patients.
