Background And Purpose: Pituitary adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide (PACAP) is a human migraine trigger that is being targeted for migraine. The δ-opioid receptor (δ-receptor) is a novel target for the treatment of migraine, but its mechanism remains unclear. The goals of this study were to develop a mouse PACAP-headache model using clinically significant doses of PACAP; determine the effects of δ-receptor activation in this model; and investigate the co-expression of δ-receptors, PACAP and PACAP-PAC1 receptor.

Patient experience, understanding and self-management of asthma attacks: a qualitative study.

Rationale: Asthma attacks (AA) are potentially life-threatening complications of asthma associated with high levels of morbidity, mortality and rising healthcare costs. Patient experience, impact and understanding of AA is poorly described in the literature. Femur Fracture in a Newborn During Emergency Cesarean Delivery: A Case Report.

Birth injury occurs when the delivery process is not appropriately attended, and the use of improper techniques or maneuvers while conducting the delivery. Cesarean delivery is considered safe as compared to vaginal for the breech presentation. However, this case reports a case of femur fracture of a newborn that occurred during an emergency cesarean section performed for breech presentation.
