The objective of this study was to evaluate the variations in the degree of conversion (DC) of a light-curing composite resin when the thickness or the translucency of lithium disilicate-enriched glass-ceramic veneers are modified. IPS e. max CAD blocks of the MT-A2, LT-A2 and MO1 types were cut to obtain four slices with thicknesses ranging from 0.

In this study, we describe a fetoscopic two-layer (myofascial and skin) closure technique for the treatment of NTD in five patients and report the preliminary anatomical outcome at birth.
Methods: From February to September 2017, five pregnant women with a fetus with a NTD, including three cases of myelomeningocele and two cases of myelocele, were operated on using a fetoscopic two-layer closure technique.
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) causes hippocampal damage. The hippocampus can be macroscopically divided into the head, body and tail, which differ in terms of their sensitivity to excitability and also in terms of their cortical connections. We investigated whether damage also varies according to the hippocampal area involved, and studied the relationship of hippocampal reductions with memory performance.

Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) of vascular corrosion casts, confocal microscopy of histological sections after immunocytochemistry, and detection of apoptosis by terminal dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL) were used. Microvascular casts showed an angioarchitectonic distribution that was defined as normal according to results obtained in a previous, nontraumatic series of subjects.

Physicians are then faced with the so-called 'Arrested Hydrocephalus' (AH) syndrome. The present study is part of a prospective protocol in which patients with hydrocephalus associated with MMC and long-term clinical diagnosis of AH were included.
