Abdominal pain is one of the leading causes of consultation in pediatrics, accounting for up to 10% of emergency department visits. The patient's age, medical history, and physical examination are critical in diagnosing and differentiating between surgical, non-surgical, and extra-abdominal etiologies. However, this distinction can be challenging, leading to diagnostic delays with therapeutic and prognostic implications.

Ruxolitinib has been approved for the treatment of adults and pediatric patients ≥12 years with steroid refractory graft-versus-host disease (GvHD). However, real-life studies are needed to confirm the results of clinical trials and further assess its efficacy in special populations. We performed a descriptive, retrospective, multi-center study of 352 adults and 42 pediatric patients treated with ruxolitinib for steroid-refractory acute or chronic GvHD.

Its symptoms are nonspecific, with weight loss, diarrhea, and abdominal pain being classic, though their diagnostic utility is controversial (2). We evaluated the clinical-pathological association of different symptoms in CD through an analytical study of patients under 15 years of age who underwent esophagogastroduodenoscopy and ileocolonoscopy in a pediatric hospital between 2015-2022 due to suspected IBD.

IS formation was associated with transient recruitment of FMNL1β to the IS, which was independent of protein kinase C δ (PKCδ). Simultaneous RNA interference of all FMNL1 isoforms prevented MTOC/MVB polarization and exosome secretion, which were restored by FMNL1βWT expression.

Its presentation is varied, with the main symptoms being mucosanguineous diarrhea, abdominal pain, and weight loss. However, the diagnostic utility of these symptoms in pediatric populations is controversial.
