Purpose: The goals of this study were (1) to assess whether the preoperative difference between modalities and extent of deformity are associated with a higher difference between planned and achieved surgical correction and (2) if they yield a higher probability of intraoperative adjustments.

Methods: Retrospective single-centre analysis of patients undergoing patient-specific instrumented (PSI) total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Preoperative radiographic parameters were analysed on weightbearing (WB) long-leg radiographs (LLR) and nonweightbearing (NWB) computed tomography (CT).

Fibular fractures are the third most common stress fractures in children and adolescents. Proximal fibular location is a very rare finding, with few reports in the literature and, frequently, careful investigations before a definitive diagnosis could be necessary. The authors report a case of an adolescent 13 years old soccer player with a proximal fibular fracture that was initially underestimated and misdiagnosed and ultimately confirmed as a stress lesion by MRI.

Talus dislocation is a rare injury and it is usually the consequence of high energy traumas, despite the anatomical features of the talus which predispose to its dissociation (absence of muscle insertions with over 60% of the surface covered by cartilage). It may be associated with malleolar fractures. Standard treatment of closed talar dislocation is a controversial issue.
