Objective: The aim of this article is to describe the process used to develop an acupuncture therapy manual for a large effectiveness trial comparing individual care against group care for chronic pain in an underserved population. The design needed to not only ensure research consistency and replicability but also be 'responsive' to real world heterogeneous and evolving presentations in challenging physical settings.
Background: Chronic pain is prevalent in the United States.
Objective: To produce and test a prototype carrier for the Thermafil obturation system.
Method And Materials: A prototype carrier was created in a new plastic material (Delrin) with a new profile design made up of 15 intersecting cones of decreasing diameter and a 0.06 taper.
Objective: The introduction of the current enamel-dentin adhesives has simplified the reattachment of fractured dentinal fragments. The objective of this study was to determine the strength needed to detach coronal fragments reattached with the most recent adhesives.
Method And Materials: A complete coronal fracture was caused on the incisal one third of 40 noncarious maxillary and mandibular lateral and central incisors.

The direct effects of D(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP), on subcutaneous tissue were studied in the rat, using the air pouch technique. Two ml of DEHP either undiluted or diluted in olive oil (10 microm/ml), were introduced into a previously created air pouch in the rats. The air pouch was removed and specimens of the lining tissue examined by optical and electron microscopy.

The dentinal adhesives Syntac, Gluma 2000, Scotchbond MP, and All-bond 2 were applied to five boxes each. All the boxes were restored with the same photopolymerizing resin composite.
