Objectives: Critically ill newborn infants often require simultaneous administration of multiple intravenous (IV) solutions through the same catheter lumen, making compatibility of these solutions crucial in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs). This study aimed to investigate the physical compatibility of insulin aspart, lidocaine, alprostadil and vancomycin with individualised two-in-one parenteral nutrition (PN).

Methods: The study was conducted at the hospital pharmacy's drug compounding facility of the University Medical Centre Utrecht.

Objectives: To explore interrelations between cognitive, physical, affective, and daily functioning, quality of life and white matter hyperintensities (WMH) in a geriatric memory clinic sample.

Method: Participants received brain imaging, comprehensive geriatric assessment and neuropsychological evaluation including measurements of cognitive, physical, affective, and daily functioning and health-related quality of life. Data was analyzed using multiple linear regressions and network analysis using (moderated) mixed graphical models.

The gold standard for enterovirus (EV) detection is the polymerase chain reaction based on the detection of the 5' untranslated region of the virus. Correct detection of EV is crucial for patient and public health purposes. Modulatory neurotransmitters exert powerful control over neurons and the brain vasculature. Gamma Entrainment Using Sensory Stimuli (GENUS) promotes amyloid clearance via increased perivascular cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) flux in mouse models of Alzheimer's Disease. Here we use whole-brain activity mapping to identify the cholinergic basal forebrain as a key region responding to GENUS.

Dehumanization of others has been attributed to institutional processes that spread dehumanizing norms and narratives, as well as to individuals' denial of mind to others. We propose that blatant dehumanization also arises when people actively contemplate others' minds. We introduce the construct of imagined otherness-perceiving that a prototypical member of a social group construes an important facet of the social world in ways that diverge from the way most humans understand it-and argue that such attributions catalyze blatant dehumanization beyond the effects of general perceived difference and group identification.
