Nucleation and growth are studied in a system that undergoes diffusion-controlled condensation under gradual changes in parameters, such as cooling. It is demonstrated that when the Gibbs-Thompson effect becomes negligible, the system falls into a universal regime. i.

In this study, we assessed the cytotoxicity of newly synthesized nanostructured zinc carbonate hydroxide (ZnCH) Zn(CO)(OH)microflakes. Cytotoxicity of the microflakes was assessed against murine L929 cell line and rat mature erythrocytes.

Sample pooling, a methodology used effectively for over 80 years as a surveillance tool for screening large numbers of potentially infected individuals, was employed. Given its sensitivity, real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is more suitable for employing this strategy, as compared to other less sensitive testing methods.
