A study of 43 cases of suspected congenital diseases of heart was performed in Sahyadri Hospital, Pune, over a period of 5 to 6 years with dual source computed tomography (CT) in adolescents as well as children. Only the images of anomalies of pulmonary veins are presented. Compared with different radiological techniques, CT offers many advantages, as it can be undertaken even in neonates, yields more information than MR in a very little time, is better than 2D echo, when there is a small inter-costal window in some infants and is noninvasive.

Methods: Curenext gel and Tulsi gel were used as the two LDD agent. A split mouth randomized clinical trial was carried out in 15 patients.
Triblock polyelectrolyte gels were characterized by small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) and dynamic light scattering (DLS). The oppositely charged end blocks self-assemble into polyelectrolyte complex cores, while the neutral poly(ethylene oxide) middle block bridges adjacent cores. The size of the polyelectrolyte complex core does not change with temperature.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAromaticity is a central and ubiquitous concept in organic chemistry, and is used extensively to explain various phenomena. Yet, aromaticity cannot be observed or measured as a property in its own right and, to date, only qualitative and semi-quantitative relationships have been described between aromaticity and an observable property. We now demonstrate for the first time a robust quantitative relationship between the HOMO-LUMO gap and adiabatic ionization potential of a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon oligomer - both measurable physical quantities - and its aromaticity, as quantified by the Nucleus Independent Chemical Shift (NICS) index.

The ectopic gland can develop along the tract of the duct to give rise to ectopic lingual, sublingual (pre-hyoid) or sub-hyoid (pyramidal) gland, with or without normal pre-tracheal thyroid gland. There are a few reports of double ectopia of thyroid but triple ectopia of thyroid is extremely rare.
