Single-walled carbon nanotube-based field effect transistors (SWCNT-FETs) are ideal candidates for fabricating sensors and have been widely used for chemical sensing applications. SWCNT-FETs have low selectivity because of the environmentally sensitive electronic properties of SWCNTs, and SWCNT-FETs also show a high noise signal and poor sensitivity because of charge trapping from Si-OH hydration of the SiO/Si substrate on the SWCNTs. Herein, poly (4-vinylpyridine) (P4VP) was used for noncovalent attachment to SWCNTs and selective binding to copper ions (Cu).

The interatomic potentials of the a(2)Π and b(2)Π states of the OAr(+) molecule are calculated using the relativistic complete-active space Hartree-Fock method followed by a multireference configuration interaction calculation with an aug-cc-pwCVNZ-DK basis sets where N is 4 and 5. The calculations were followed by an extrapolation to the complete basis set limit. An avoided crossing between the two potential energy curves is found at an internuclear separation of 5.

The stomach mucosa structure in animals belonging to Order Carnivora indicates some specific characteristics in comparison with the other mammals. Between the bases of the mucosal glands and the lamina muscularis mucosae there is an additional plate which most of the morphologists have defined as lamina subglandularis. In currently used Nomina histologica this layer is indicated as stratum compactum in carnivorous stomach mucosa.

The localization of the calcium-binding proteins (CaBPs) calbindin-D28K (CB) and parvalbumin (PV) in avian rapidly-adapting Herbst and Grandry sensory corpuscles was studied with the use of immunocytochemistry and monoclonal antibodies. Strongest immunostaining was detected in cells of the capsule in both receptor types. Staining was more pronounced in the vicinity of endoplasmic reticulum and mitochondria in the perinuclear regions, whereas staining was distinct in pinocytotic vesicles in peripheral cytoplasmic lamellae.
