Purpose: It is a clinical challenge to select patients for BRAF-targeted therapy because of the lack of predictive biomarkers besides the BRAF V600E mutation. By analyzing the genome, transcriptome, and proteome, this study investigated the association between baseline molecular alterations and outcomes of BRAF-targeted therapy.
Patients And Methods: Fresh tumor tissue from patients enrolled in the Copenhagen Prospective Personalized Oncology study was collected and underwent comprehensive molecular profiling.
Background: End-of-life care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is complex, requiring a balance of ethical, cultural and medical considerations while ensuring comfort and dignity for critically ill patients and their families.
Aim: We aimed to develop a set of core domains for end-of-life care at Scandinavian ICUs along with corresponding consensus statements from patients, families and multidisciplinary experts.
Methods: In a three-round Delphi study, a multidisciplinary advisory board from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland and Denmark, including ICU physicians, ICU nurses, palliative care specialists and a former ICU patient and family, developed potential end-of-life care domains of interest.
Background: Flexible optical intubation (FOI) is the preferred technique for managing anticipated difficult airways, particularly in awake patients when anatomical factors complicate conventional laryngoscopy. Mastering the procedure requires skills, but a comprehensive overview of the evidence on training and assessment of FOI skills is lacking. There is no evidence-based consensus on educational strategies and recommendations for skill acquisition and retention, thus highlighting a significant gap in airway management training.
